Victorian Mahogany Drafting Table
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
Sourced from an old railway engineering office in Ashford, Kent, this table dates to the late Victorian industrial boom (circa 1890). Its heavy cast-iron base reflects the engineering of the era.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
At our restoration bench, the cast-iron mechanisms were completely disassembled, cleaned of rust, and lubricated to adjust smoothly. We restored the solid mahogany top, treating the wood with hand-rubbed French polish to reveal its rich, deep color.
03 / Character & Living
A striking, functional piece for a study or studio. Its height-adjustable top makes it perfect for drawing, writing, or displaying large art books, bringing an industrial character to your workspace.
