Restored Edwardian Oak Spindle-Back Desk Chair
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
We found this Edwardian captain's desk chair in the attic of a cottage in Ashford, Kent. The solid oak frame was intact, but the finish was scratched and the seat pad was worn.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
At our workshop, we sanded the oak frame and treated the wood with organic beeswax to restore its warm grain. We wove a new seat pad cushion on our floor looms using Belgian flax linen, filled with local organic wool.
03 / Character & Living
Designed for a study or library, this chair provides comfortable support for reading and writing, bringing the classic character of Edwardian oak furniture to your home.
