"Hearth and Loom" Original Tempera Painting
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
This study was painted over a period of two weeks inside the Wild Meadow workshop. It looks toward the brick fireplace and the floor loom, capturing the soft light filtering through the linen window curtains.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
Egg tempera is one of history's oldest painting mediums. Polly ground earth pigments by hand, blending them with organic egg yolk and water to paint on a gesso-prepared wood panel. The frame was crafted from a timber offcut of our oak framing works.
03 / Character & Living
This painting radiates an atmosphere of quiet concentration and craftsmanship. It is ideal for a study, reading nook, or creative workshop space where the history of traditional arts is celebrated.
