"Hernhill Woodlands" Plein Air Oil Study
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
Painted during the late autumn in the woods surrounding Hernhill, this study captures the low sun filtering through the oak trees, casting long shadows across the leaf-covered ground.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
Polly used oil paint with palette knives to build a textured, semi-abstract representation of the woods. The painting is framed in a custom frame made in our workshop from reclaimed oak timber.
03 / Character & Living
This piece brings the color and quiet atmosphere of the Kentish woods into a room. The textured surface catches the light, creating a beautiful focal point on any wall.
