Antique Sussex Rush-Seat Corner Stool
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
Sourced in Tenterden, this corner stool was used in farmhouse kitchens. While the oak frame was structurally sound, the original rush seat had completely worn away.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
We cleaned the old oak legs to reveal their dark, seasoned color, waxing them to a soft finish. The seat was re-woven using natural Kentish rush, twisted and woven by hand over two days.
03 / Character & Living
Perfect as a small side table or extra seating in a hallway or kitchen corner, bringing a simple, organic detail of traditional English rural craft to your home.
