"Sea-Worn Flint & Oak" Shoreline Sculpture
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
Gathered along the quiet coastal shingle of Herne Bay, this flint stone was naturally sculpted and holed by decades of tidal wear. We curated it for its beautiful, wabi-sabi modernist silhouette.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
The stone is mounted using a concealed steel rod onto a thick plinth cut from English oak rafters salvaged from a Kentish barn, which we hand-planed and nourished with studio beeswax.
03 / Character & Living
Display this sculpture on a mantelpiece or window ledge where natural light can pass through the stone's hole, casting shifting organic shadows in the room.
