Hand-Thrown Botanical Mug Set
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
Made to order, these mugs are formed from clay dug directly from local Kentish riverbeds. The glaze is created using wood ashes gathered from the studio's hearth, burned from logs of nearby Kentish apple orchards.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
Each mug is hand-thrown on the wheel, retaining the gentle, tactile finger ridges left by the maker. After an initial firing, the wood ash glaze is applied and fired to 1280°C, causing the minerals in the ash to run and pool in organic, forest-green drops.
03 / Character & Living
Designed for slow, quiet mornings. Holding these mugs provides a warm, grounding connection to the clay and firewood of the Kent landscape, turning a daily coffee or herbal tea into a tactile ritual.
