Faversham Ash-Glazed Ceramic Vase
01 / Sourcing & Discovery
Made to order in small batches. We gather raw ash from wood stoves in Faversham homes, sieve it, and mix it with local clay minerals to formulate a traditional wood-ash glaze.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
Thrown on a kick-wheel, this vase is dried slowly before being dipped in the ash glaze. Fired inside our gas kiln, the wood ash melts into a soft, sage-green glass surface, with natural variations in crackle depending on the wood species burned.
03 / Character & Living
Beautiful on a kitchen dresser or mantelpiece, either holding simple wildflowers or displayed as a standalone ceramic piece that shows the texture of traditional firing.
