We discovered this hinged cuff bangle in a small shop near Canterbury Cathedral. Crafted during the height of Victorian romanticism (circa 1880), the piece features intricate filigree wires that speak to the patience of 19th-century jewellers.
02 / Meticulous Handcraft
To bridge its history with our studio's organic aesthetic, we applied heat to fuse fine sheets of raw 24ct yellow gold foil onto the outer bands of the filigree panel. This process, reminiscent of ancient Keum-boo metallurgy, creates a gorgeous contrast against the warm 9ct gold base.
